Now, as an adult living in the United States, she receives guidance from El Güegüense, a character of a Nicaraguan satirical drama from the 16th century who is a symbol of resilience for all Nicaraguans.​

Su hijo, Manuel, quiere llevarlo a una casa de asilo de ancianos y así poder vender la propiedad.
The Year is 2035. The world has changed; due to the power of Agri-Business, it is illegal to grow your own food. Gabriel has always grown his own fruits, vegetables and other crops to support his family. Although now he's alone, and even if it's against the law, Gabriel still enjoys planting and harvesting his crops. His son, Manuel, wants to take him to a nursing home and sell the property.
