The William Reagh Photography Center, located at the Frida Kahlo Theater, is the only black and white community lab in the city of Los Angeles. Students learn basic black and white photography techniques and develop their own work.

Rico Obusan has been associated with the William Reagh Los Angeles Photography Center for nearly three decades.In 2005, he became responsible for developing community programs and the expansion of educational services.

Rico has been involved in photography for over 50 years. He worked as an advertising photographer, educator, and program developer for arts organizations. He holds an advanced degree in visual anthropology, and until his recent retirement from academic duties, was a lecturer in research methods and program design.
